Baseball Recap: Lamar County Takes a Loss

Lamar County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 13-2 to the Gordo Green Wave. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Green Wave this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-5 last Thursday.

Lamar County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Gordo, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lamar County will face off against Cordova at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Gordo, they will challenge Sipsey Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
