Salpointe Catholic put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their undefeated season alive. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Sahuaro Cougars a 16-0 shutout. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Salpointe Catholic got a massive performance out of Colton Raetzman, who scored a run while going 3-for-3. What's more, Raetzman posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Johnny Abramian, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3.

Salpointe Catholic was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .613. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Salpointe Catholic's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-0-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Sahuaro, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13-1.

Salpointe Catholic will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cougars: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
