Basketball Recap: Chance Miller's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Community Baptist over Faith Christian + How To Watch

Community Baptist was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 55-41 to the Faith Christian Warriors. The Conquerors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.

Community Baptist's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chance Miller, who shot 45% from the field to rack up 16 points. Miller is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played. Justin Yow was another key player, putting up three points in addition to six assists and four steals.

Jackson Price was a one-man wrecking crew For Faith Christian. as he almost dropped a double-double with 26 points and nine boards. Those 26 points gave Price a new career-high. Another player making a difference was JD Dove, who posted 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Community Baptist's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Faith Christian, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Community Baptist has already played their next contest, a 68-60 win against Carolina Baptist Academy on the 24th. As for Faith Christian, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Dayspring Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on December 2.
