Basketball Recap: Community Baptist Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Community Baptist was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 55-41 bruising from the Faith Christian Warriors. The Conquerors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.

Despite the loss, Community Baptist saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Chance Miller went 5-for-11 en route to 16 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Miller has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Zavien Russell, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Community Baptist's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Faith Christian, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Community Baptist will challenge Carolina Baptist Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Conquerors surely won't give up without a fight. As for Faith Christian, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Dayspring Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on December 2.
