Baseball Recap: Hulbert Takes a Loss

Hulbert fell victim to Preston and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Preston Pirates, falling 12-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Riders in their meetings with the Pirates: they've now lost eight in a row.

Having lost for the first time this season, Hulbert fell to 5-1. As for Preston, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hulbert will face off against Webbers Falls at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Preston, they will head out on the road to challenge Dibble at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Preston 2.2, Dibble 0.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
