Football Recap: Monticello Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Monticello suffered their biggest loss since September 13, 2024 on Friday. They were dealt a 40-3 defeat at the hands of the Western Albemarle Warriors. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Monticello's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Western Albemarle, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Monticello and Western Albemarle will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Mustangs see the field they'll take on Orange County at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. As for Western Albemarle, their break will end when they face Fluvanna County at 7:00 p.m. on October 3.
