Volleyball Recap: Clifton-Clyde Has No Trouble Against Council Grove

Clifton-Clyde picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They came out on top against the Council Grove Braves by a score of 2-0. That two set margin sets a new team best for the Eagles this season.

Paige Joy paced Clifton-Clyde's offense, picking up nine kills. Joy got some help from Sevy Wurtz and her nine assists. Wurtz was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Clifton-Clyde's win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Council Grove, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 0-10-2 record this season.

Clifton-Clyde wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Chapman on the 20th. As for Council Grove, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Republic County on the 20th.
