Recap: Franklin Lions vs. Teague Lions
Make it five blowout wins for the Franklin Lions this season. They blew past Teague, posting a 81-42 victory on the road. While fans of Franklin might be used to big wins, the 39-point margin marked the team's biggest win yet this season.
Despite the loss, Teague still got an impressive performance from Jehmel Rice, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Leija, who scored ten points.
Franklin has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-8 record this season. As for Teague, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-12.
Franklin will be playing at home against the Bison at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Buffalo has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while the Lions will arrive with three straight victories. As for Teague, they will head out on the road to square off against the Black Cats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mexia will be looking to keep their nine-game home win streak alive.
