The Ellington Knights got the win against the Coventry/Windham RVT/Bolton/Lyman Memorial Patriots on Thursday by a conclusive 9-1. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won eight contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Camryn Fisher made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 17 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two hits any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.

In other batting news, Tyla Gambacorta was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Mickyla Wong, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Ellington's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Coventry/Windham RVT/Bolton/Lyman Memorial, their loss ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ellington will challenge Rockville at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Coventry/Windham RVT/Bolton/Lyman Memorial, they will welcome Stafford at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
