Poteet won the last time they faced North Mesquite and things went their way on Friday too. The Poteet Pirates managed a 42-37 victory over the North Mesquite Stallions. The win was familiar territory for the Pirates who have now won four matches in a row.

Poteet has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.5 points per game. As for North Mesquite, they moved to 9-9 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
