Baseball Preview: North Shelby Raiders vs. Community Trojans        
        
		
            The North Shelby Raiders will head out on the road to  take on  the Community Trojans  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one:  the two teams posted some lofty  run totals in their previous games.
On Friday, North Shelby made easy work of Paris  and carried off  a  13-1 victory. Considering the Raiders have won six matchups by more than six  runs this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Cole Browning made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits. Browning was even better at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run, five  RBI,  and two  runs. He has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  home run the last three times he's  played.

 In other batting news,  Cade Fallert was  incredible,  firing off three  home runs and five  RBI while going 3-for-4. He also  scored three  runs, which is notable because North Shelby is undefeated when he posts  at  least  two  runs, but 5-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was  Isaac Berry, who  got on base  in all four of his plate appearances with three  runs and one  stolen base.
 North Shelby  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters  in three consecutive  games.
 Community not only won  on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win  since March 24th (when they won  12-0). They blew past Madison 14-3. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Trojans.
 North Shelby has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Community, they now  have a winning record of 8-7.
 North Shelby came out on top in a nail-biter against Community when the teams last played  back in April of 2024, sneaking past  3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
