Volleyball Recap: Cedar Valley Aviators vs. Springville Red Devils

Cedar Valley was the 3-1 winner over Springville when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Aviators fell just short of the Red Devils by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Aviators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cedar Valley took Springville into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-18, 19-25, 25-18, 17-15.

Cedar Valley's offense was headlined by Luke Michaelis and Luke Hokanson, who picked up 14 kills apiece. They got some help from Jonny Petersen and his 35 assists. He was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

William Carter was the offensive standout of the contest as he had 12 digs and two assists. That's the most assists he has posted since back in April of 2024.
