Softball Game Preview: Southeast Pirates vs. Keystone Wildcats

The Southeast Pirates are taking a road trip to take on the Keystone Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Southeast has five straight wins, Keystone has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

While Southeast's victory against Liberty wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pirates' pitchers stepped up to hand the Leopards a 2-0 shutout on Thursday.

Southeast's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Liv Bragg, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Southeast hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Keystone came up short against Wellington on Saturday and fell 8-4.

Keystone's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 12-1 and their overall record down to 13-8. As for Southeast, their victory bumped their record up to 15-5.
