South Whidbey had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.2 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Orcas Island Vikings with a sharp 19-5 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Falcons also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

South Whidbey pushed their record up to 12-9 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Orcas Island, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-11.

South Whidbey does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Orcas Island, they are taking a road trip to challenge Mt. Baker at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Vikings are facing the Mountaineers at the right time seeing as the Mountaineers are stuck on a 17-game losing streak.
