Basketball Recap: St. John's Northwestern Military Academy Sets Scoring Season-High Against Heritage Christian

St. John's Northwestern Military Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 73-66 to the Heritage Christian Patriots. One positive for the Lancers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

St. John's Northwestern Military Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Mamadou N'Diaye, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 boards. N'Diaye has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more rebounds the last four times he's played. James Visocky was another key player, putting up 19 points and five boards.

Even though they lost, St. John's Northwestern Military Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Heritage Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Marcus Seroyer out in front who posted 20 points along with eight steals and six rebounds. That's the most boards Seroyer has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Eddie Riebe, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds.

St. John's Northwestern Military Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Heritage Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-10.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Kingdom Prep Lutheran the next time they take the court. St. John's Northwestern Military Academy will head out to face Kingdom Prep Lutheran at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday, while Heritage Christian will host them at 7:15 p.m. on February 4th.
