Amarillo won the last time they faced Lubbock and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Sandies blew past the Westerners 9-1. Considering the Sandies have won eight matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Amarillo pushed their record up to 15-8-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Lubbock, they moved to 14-7-1 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Amarillo will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Westerners: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
