Volleyball Recap: Cumberland Pirates vs. North Clay Cardinals

The Cumberland Pirates sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the North Clay Cardinals on Thursday.

Cumberland had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-22, 25-8.

Madelyn McElravy paced Cumberland's offense, picking up 12 kills. McElravy got some help from Alysa Dittamore and her 11 assists. Dittamore and McElravy didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with four apiece.
