Soccer Game Preview: Katahdin vs. East Grand

The Katahdin Cougars will head out to face off against the East Grand Vikings at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday. Katahdin knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully East Grand likes a good challenge.

Katahdin barely beat Southern Aroostook the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Warriors on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for Katahdin in their matchups with Southern Aroostook: they've now won nine in a row.

Meanwhile, East Grand fell victim to Van Buren and their airtight defense on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crusaders.

East Grand's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Katahdin, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0.

Everything went Katahdin's way against East Grand in their previous matchup on September 6th, as Katahdin made off with an 8-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
