Softball Recap: James Clemens Takes a Loss

James Clemens fell victim to Florence and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Jets' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

James Clemens' loss dropped their record down to 12-17-1. As for Florence, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-16.

James Clemens and Florence could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings. The Jets (ranked 184th) will meet Ardmore (ranked 24th) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Florence will take on Mars Hill Bible at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (189 vs. 49).
