Basketball Recap: Wes Peters' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Heritage Christian Academy over Nazarene Christian Academy

Fans were treated to a battle of the Lions on Monday. The contest between Heritage Christian Academy and Nazarene Christian Academy didn't end well, with Heritage Christian Academy falling 63-44. Heritage Christian Academy lost against Nazarene Christian Academy in their previous head to head back in December of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 63-16 score last time.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Wes Peters, who went 5-for-10 en route to 13 points and four steals. Graham Hicks was another key player, putting up six points along with ten boards and four steals.

Heritage Christian Academy now has a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Heritage Christian Academy will venture away from home to take on Azle Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Nazarene Christian Academy, they will face off against Christian Life Preparatory at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
