Volleyball Game Preview: Potomac School Panthers vs. Georgetown Day Mighty Hoppers

Potomac School hasn't had much luck against Georgetown Day recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Panthers will head out to face off against the Mighty Hoppers at 5:30 p.m.

It was a proper cat-fight when Potomac School challenged Collegiate on Friday. The Panthers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars.

Potomac School was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Collegiate work for it, especially in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 22-25, 25-14, 28-26.

Potomac School might have lost, but man, Lily Gurney was a machine: she had 23 digs and two aces. Maya Peery also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Meanwhile, Georgetown Day came tearing into Friday's match with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 3-0 victory.

Georgetown Day was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-16, 25-17.

Potomac School's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Georgetown Day, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.
