League recap: Indian Valley's Fox delivers best pitching performance from past week

Principals league recap: 5/22/13

Principals' top pitcher this week was Indian Valley's Brandon Fox. He picked up one win and ten strikeouts.

Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy had a successful week, as it won three total games to lead the league. The Royals beat Tuslaw 7-3, the Mustangs 15-8 and Cuyahoga Falls 12-5.

The Braves boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks.

The league boasted six .400 hitters over the past week. The group was paced by Ryan Tucker, who collected five hits in ten at bats for a .500 average.

Shawn Mills tossed eight strikeouts this week while on the hill for Indian Valley, adding to his league-best total of 60.



The Braves' Fox struck out ten Manchester hitters en route to a 7-2 victory on May 15. Over five innings of work, he gave up seven hits and two runs.
