Blue Valley Northwest entered their tilt with Benton on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 52-50 win over the Benton Cardinals. The 52-point effort marked the Huskies' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Blue Valley Northwest's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ayden Mcgibboney, who went 8 for 12 en route to 19 points and six rebounds. Trevor Garlington was another key player, going 5 of 7 on his way to 12 points and four steals.

Blue Valley Northwest has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for Benton, their loss dropped their record down to 12-3.
