The team relied heavily on Tessa Hill, who fired off three home runs, ten RBI, and four runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Those ten RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lucy Miller, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Golden Sierra lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Vacaville Christian made easy work of Highlands on Thursday and carried off an 18-4 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.
Elena Vizcay was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. Vizcay was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Lexi Martinez and Hazel Campbell did most of the damage at the plate: Martinez got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four RBI, one triple, and one run, while Campbell went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Daisy Stafford also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Golden Sierra hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .314. However, it's not like Vacaville Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .332. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Golden Sierra's way against Vacaville Christian in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Golden Sierra made off with a 26-16 win. Do the Grizzlies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Falcons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
