Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Highlands). Everything went their way against the Martin Tigers on Friday as the Highlands Owls made off with  a  19-0 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  win the Owls have posted  since February 13, 2024.
 Ciera Garcia was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing 2.2 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Garcia was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news, Highlands got a  massive  performance out of  Jenesis Rodriguez, who  went a perfect3-for-3 with one  home run, five  RBI,  and one  double. That's the most  RBI  Rodriguez has posted since back in March of 2024.  Analia Aparicio was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with four  runs, four  RBI,  and one  double.
 Highlands  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .818. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Martin only posted  an  OBP of  .182.
Highlands' first  victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Martin, they dropped their record down to 0-7 with the  loss, which was their sixth straight  at home dating back to last season.
 Coming up, Highlands will take on Roma in a tournament  on Saturday. Highlands is facing Roma at the right time seeing as Roma is stuck on  a  five-game losing streak. As for Martin, they will be taking part in a tournament against Devine  at 9:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Devine will roll in looking for their  fourth straight  win, something Martin surely won't give up without a fight.
