Topsail extended their home winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Lily Long. Everything went the Pirates' way against the New Hanover Wildcats on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 win for which the team can thank Long, who had six digs and two aces. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Topsail was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-10, 25-12.

Topsail's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for New Hanover, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Topsail didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against D.H. Conley on the 17th. As for New Hanover, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against North Brunswick on the 18th.
