Basketball Game Preview: Ephrata Tigers vs. Toppenish Wildcats

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Ephrata Tigers challenge the Toppenish Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday... Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Tuesday, Ephrata came up short against East Valley and fell 56-46. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Toppenish scored the most points they've had this season on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of Quincy by a score of 69-67. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (56), the Wildcats still had to take the loss.

Toppenish's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Ephrata, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.

Ephrata came up short against Toppenish in their previous meeting back in January of 2020, falling 93-87. Can Ephrata avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
