Indian Springs won the last time they faced Word of Life Christian Academy and things went their way on Thursday too. The Thunderbirds sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Word of Life Christian Academy. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Thunderbirds.

Indian Springs took Word of Life Christian Academy into a fifth set where they got it done with a five-point win. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-18, 25-17, 19-25, 15-10.

Robyn DiGregorio paced Indian Springs' offense, picking up 11 kills. DiGregorio got some help from Madison Sawyer and her 11 assists. Sawyer was also solid from the service line: she led the team with nine aces.

Indian Springs' victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Word of Life Christian Academy, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Indian Springs will challenge Round Mountain at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Word of Life Christian Academy, they will square off against Adelson at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
