Basketball Recap: Carver Comes Up Short

Carver made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Lovett, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Panthers fell just short of the Lions by a score of 75-72 on Tuesday. The Panthers' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Carver's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Lovett, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Looking ahead, Carver will face off against South Atlanta at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lovett, they will challenge Cherokee Bluff at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will be up against the Bears' rather soft defense (which has allowed 63.83 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
