Basketball Recap: Calvert Comes Up Short

Calvert played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by St. Charles 69-38. The loss continues a trend for the Cavaliers in their matchups with St. Charles: they've now lost nine in a row.

St. Charles' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jamari Rogers led the charge by putting up 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Diondre Carson, who posted 14 points.

Calvert's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9-1. As for St. Charles, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Calvert didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 62-34 loss against Lackey on the 10th. As for St. Charles, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 54-51 defeat against Southern Maryland Christian Academy on the 4th.
