Basketball Recap: International Skates Past GEO Next Generation with Ease

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for International on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew the GEO Next Generation Eagles out of the water with a 63-26 final score. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Gryphons had established a 24 point advantage.

Leading International to victory were Peter Machado and Michael Kreutz. Machado dropped a double-double on 26 points and 14 rebounds, while Kreutz went 7 of 9 en route to 20 points in addition to eight boards and five assists. With that strong performance, Machado is now averaging an impressive 2.4 steals per game.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: International was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The win snapped International's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-5 record. As for GEO Next Generation, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
