Recap: Kermit Yellow Jackets vs. Presidio Blue Devils

The Kermit Yellow Jackets lost against the Presidio Blue Devils back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Kermit took a serious blow against Presidio, falling 62-31. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Kermit has scored all season.

When it comes to explaining why Kermit lost, one person who can't be blamed is Diego Juarez. Despite the final result, he scored eight points along with 16 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Bryson Bennett, who scored four points.

Kermit's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Presidio, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-4.

Kermit will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Monahans at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Monahans' favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches. Presidio will finish 2023 at home by hosting San Elizario at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. San Elizario has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
