Football Game Preview: Cross Creek Razorbacks vs. Westside Patriots + How To Watch

The Cross Creek Razorbacks will head out to square off against the Westside Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cross Creek has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with six straight defeats, while Westside will come in with six straight wins.

Cross Creek's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Aquinas on Friday. They took a blow against the Fightin' Irish, falling 41-0. While losing is never fun, the Razorbacks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 404th, while the Fightin' Irish are ranked 124th).

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Westside over Howard in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Patriots blew the Huskies out of the water with a 49-7 final score. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won three contests by 21 points or more so far this season.

Cross Creek better keep an eye on Jaylen Stone. He was instrumental in Westside's win, throwing for 221 yards and one touchdown while completing 72.7% of his passes, and also punching in one score on the ground.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Westside's defense and their three sacks. Reonte Brown was especially locked on to Howard's QB and sacked him twice. Brown also rushed for ten rushing yards, marking his first of the season.

Westside's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Cross Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Cross Creek was taken down by Westside 41-6 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Razorbacks, Jeanarion Kamga (who rushed for 250 yards and four TDs on only 13 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
