The Capuchino Mustangs will venture away from home to take on the Aragon Dons at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Capuchino is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.
Capuchino had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Burlingame on Tuesday. The Mustangs never let the Panthers get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The Mustangs have beaten the Panthers the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Panthers has come to flipping the script.

The team relied heavily on Star Gutierrez, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. She has been hot recently, having also posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Dana Motroni was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Capuchino was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .462. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Burlingame only posted a batting average of .062.
Meanwhile, Aragon earned a 3-0 victory over Carlmont on Tuesday.
The result came thanks to Makayla Hafoka's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, Taylor Workman was excellent, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.
Capuchino pushed their record up to 16-6 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Aragon, their record is now 9-14.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Capuchino hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .344. However, it's not like Aragon struggles in that department as they've averaged .329. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Capuchino's way against Aragon in their previous matchup back in April, as Capuchino made off with an 11-4 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
