After a string of four wins, St. Joseph Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They came up short against the Lakeview Bulldogs, falling 16-5.

Sylvia Mittendorf was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Amelia Reyes, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

St. Joseph Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Lakeview, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Coming up, St. Joseph Academy will take on West Branch at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lakeview, they will welcome Marlington at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Dukes have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
