Madison is 9-1 against Mitchell since December of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Patriots will face off against the Mountaineers at 6:30 p.m. Madison is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Madison came up short against Owen on Wednesday, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-11, 25-11.

Mitchell not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since September 10, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They blew past Mountain Heritage 3-0. The game was the first time the Mountaineers have beaten the Cougars on their court since October 7, 2021.

While Mitchell might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Mountain Heritage scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-22, 25-19.

Madison's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Mitchell, they moved to 6-12 with that win, which also ended their three-match losing streak.

Everything went Madison's way against Mitchell in their previous meeting back in September, as Madison made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
