Volleyball Recap: Dobie Comes Up Short

Dobie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Fort Bend Elkins Knights. If the Longhorns were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Knights when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Dobie was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by exactly three points. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-22.

Dobie's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Fort Bend Elkins, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Coming up, Dobie will take on Dawson at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fort Bend Elkins, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Clear Falls on the 23rd.
