Basketball Game Preview: Churchland Truckers vs. Denbigh Patriots

The Churchland Truckers will face off against the Denbigh Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Churchland's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Churchland is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Virginia's top teams: King's Fork, who was ranked 13th at the time (Churchland was ranked 24th). Churchland fell just short of King's Fork by a score of 79-77 on Saturday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (70), the Truckers still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 63-35, which was the final score in Denbigh's tilt against Landstown last Saturday.

Denbigh dropped their record down to 4-3 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Churchland, they moved to 7-2 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.
