With a playoff win on the line, Rye Cove rose to the challenge on Friday. They really took it to the Holston Cavaliers for the full four quarters, racking up a 61-14 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won eight contests by 20 points or more so far this season.

Although Holston took the loss, they still got scores from Collin Widener and Eli Tweed.

Rye Cove's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.4 points on average over those games. As for Holston, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5.

Looking ahead, Rye Cove will square off against Chilhowie at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Warriors' defense has only allowed 8.2 points per game this season, so the Eagles' offense will have their work cut out for them. Holston does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
