Make it nine blowout wins for the Athenian Owls this season. They claimed a resounding 57-24 victory over Redwood Christian on the road. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-7.
Athenian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Evan Lucas, who scored 16 points. Lucas has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last seven times he's played. Surya Devasenapathy was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Athenian is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Redwood Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.
