Softball Game Preview: Mountain View Cougars vs. Summit Storm

Mountain View has gone a perfect 10-0 against Summit recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Cougars are taking a road trip to challenge the Storm at 4:30 p.m. Mountain View is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.1 runs per game this season.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Mountain View's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Caldera on Tuesday. The Cougars haven't had much luck with Caldera recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Mountain View saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Keilah McCarthy, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases. McCarthy has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last seven times she's played.

Meanwhile, Summit lost 16-5 to Redmond on Tuesday.

Summit's loss dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Mountain View, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-4.

Mountain View got the 'W' in their previous meeting two weeks ago against Summit by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
