Basketball Game Preview: Magnet Cove Panthers vs. Fordyce Redbugs

The Magnet Cove Panthers will face off against the Fordyce Redbugs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Last Tuesday, Magnet Cove was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 56-50 to Junction City.

Meanwhile, Fordyce had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 63-56 victory over the Bulldogs.

Fordyce has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.4 points per game. As for Magnet Cove, they dropped their record down to 6-8 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home.
