Softball Recap: Morningside Academy Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Morningside Academy couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Academy for Innovative Education Aviators by a score of 10-9 on Wednesday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gabbriella Oliver was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Addyson Brown also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Morningside Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Academy for Innovative Education, they pushed their record up to 10-7 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

As of now, neither Morningside Academy nor the Aviators have any future games scheduled.
