Basketball Recap: Tipton Falls Despite Big Games from Isaac Humrichous and Peyton Auler + How To Watch

If Tipton was riding high fresh off their 60-23 takedown of Frankfort on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Blue Devils fell 48-36 to the Frankton Eagles on Saturday. The Blue Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March.

Tipton's loss came despite strong showings from Peyton Auler and Isaac Humrichous. Auler posted 17 points and three steals, while Humrichous scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Frankton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Trey Bennett out in front who almost dropped a double-double with 18 points and nine boards. Bennett is crushing it when it comes to points: he's scored at least 16 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Ashton Brobston, who shot 56% from the field to rack up 13 points and six rebounds.

Having lost for the first time this season, Tipton fell to 2-1. As for Frankton, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, Tipton will welcome Western at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Blue Devils' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Frankton, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 56-35 win against Monroe Central on the 9th.
