Soccer Game Preview: Milby vs. Spring Woods

The Milby Buffs will challenge the Spring Woods Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Milby is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals back in January, they were much more limited against Galena Park back in January. They lost 3-0 to the Yellowjackets. The Buffs have struggled against the Yellowjackets recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Spring Woods waltzed into their match on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Their defense stepped up to hand the Raiders an 8-0 shutout. Considering the Tigers have won six games by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Spring Woods is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-1-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those six matchups. As for Milby, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
