Softball Recap: Juab Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

There's no place like home for Juab, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They walked away with a 16-13 victory over the Manti Templars on Tuesday. The Wasps' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Madi Blankenagel was a standout: she fired off two home runs, four runs, and four RBI while going 4-for-6. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Dusti Draper, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.

Juab was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .526. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Manti only posted a batting average of .333.

With the win, Juab broke their eight-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-9. As for Manti, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-10.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Juab is set to face off against their familiar foe Delta at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Manti will take on rival Richfield at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
