Softball Recap: Marian Catholic Comes Up Short

Marian Catholic was the 10-4 winner over Lincoln-Way West when they last played one another back in May of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Spartans lost 13-3 to the Warriors on Monday. That's two games in a row now that the Spartans have lost by exactly ten runs.

Gracie Jensen was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.

Marian Catholic is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4. As for Lincoln-Way West, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marian Catholic will take on Chicago Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Lincoln-Way West, they will face off against Bradley-Bourbonnais at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Warriors 4, the Boilermakers 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
