Football Recap: Carver Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Despite a strong season so far, Carver has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They had to suffer through a 30-0 loss at the hands of the Walkertown Wolfpack. While losing is never fun, the Yellowjackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 269th, while the Wolfpack are ranked 117th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Walkertown to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nasir Conrad, who rushed for 110 yards and one touchdown. Jacob McLaurin was in the mix too, providing the Wolfpack with two scores.

Carver's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Walkertown, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Carver will square off against rival Bartlett Yancey at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Walkertown is set to take on their familiar foe Morehead at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
