Albemarle has gone a perfect 10-0 against Orange County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Patriots will head out on the road to challenge the Fighting Hornets at 7:00 p.m. Albemarle is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.4 goals per game this season.

On Monday, Albemarle came up short against Western Albemarle and fell 3-1. The loss continues a trend for Albemarle in their meetings with Western Albemarle: they've now lost three in a row.

Albemarle's goal came courtesy of Gavin Appel, who's now up to 14 this season.

Meanwhile, Orange County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Riverbend. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Orange County couldn't quite close it out.

Orange County's loss dropped their record down to 4-7-2. As for Albemarle, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4-1.

Albemarle took their win against Orange County in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 4-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
