Basketball Recap: Mcclain Beats Waverly for Their Fourth Straight Win

McClain came tearing into Monday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They had just enough and edged the Waverly Tigers out 61-59. This was payback for McClain, who suffered a 45-42 loss the last time these two teams met.

McClain's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Waverly, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the McClain Tigers face off against the Miami Trace Panthers at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. McClain has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Waverly, they will head out on the road to face off against Northwest at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
